DETROIT -

Not a drop of rain has fallen in May, but no one is complaining after a soggy April and surplus in moisture for the year.

Wednesday will be no different for most of Southeast Michigan to the delight of many. Morning temps will be in the 40s and low 50s with morning sun. There is a 10 to 20 percent chance of a spotty shower this afternoon under partly sunny skies. It will be warm with highs in the middle 70s.

Wednesday night will be partly cloudy and cool with lows in the mid 50s.

The first hint of rain will be on Thursday with a chance of scattered afternoon showers.

It will be warm again with highs in the low 70s.

Friday has a better chance of rain with the Red Wings and Tigers in play. Daytime temps will be lower, in the 60s. There is a 40 to 50 percent chance of precipitation in the evening.

Mothers' Day weekend will be much cooler. Saturday will be in the low 60s. Indoor activities with mom is a good idea because it will be in the 40s and 50s all day.
