ATLANTA -

How would you like to control the strength of a tornado? That's the idea behind a challenge issued by interns at the Weather Channel. They've transformed part of their office into a tweet-powered tornado simulation. The public has been put in control of the wind speed. Each mention of #TornadoWeek on twitter will help elevate the wind speed. They have a goal of 1 million mentions - which would turn their office into a full blown EF-5 tornado - with wind speeds of more than 200 miles per hour.

You can follow the action by tweeting the Weather Channel interns at @TornadoWeek.
