DETROIT -

Thursday will be another day to add to Detroiters' heating bills.

The morning will be mostly cloudy with temps near freezing.

Nasty mid-day rain showers will fall as temperatures rise into the 40s.

They may hamper the Tigers and Royals game at Comerica Park that is set to start at 1:08pm. Afternoon highs will be in the mid and upper 40s. A west wind will blow at 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday night will be partly cloudy and cold with temps returning to the low 30s. Potted plants and pets should be brought indoors.

A shift in the wind from the southwest and added sunshine will created a milder Friday and warmer weekend.

As the Tigers battle the Atlanta Braves, Friday's highs will be in the upper 50s and Saturday and Sunday will have daytime temps well into the 60s.
