Temps will reach 80s, but humidity will drop

Cooler air on the way

DETROIT – The line of severe storms which woke many of us up this morning have moved out.

The sun will come out, with highs reaching the mid to upper 80s.  Most noticeably, though, is the humidity, which will be dropping through the afternoon as drier air filters in.  Wind will be from the southwest at 10 to 20 mph.

Partly cloudy and much more comfortable sleeping weather tonight, with lows in the mid 60s.

Partly cloudy on Wednesday with a few scattered showers popping up during the afternoon.  Highs in the mid to upper 70s.

Then we start a really nice stretch of weather, with mostly sunny skies Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and highs starting off in the mid 70s Thursday, mid-to-upper 70s on the 4th of July, and near 80 degrees on Saturday.  Overnight lows will continue very comfortable, generally in the 50s.

The computer models are somewhat uncertain about the upper level pattern as we head into Sunday and Monday, so we have to introduce at least the chance for some heat-of-the-day (afternoon) thunderstorms, with temps rising into the mid 80s and humidity returning as well.
