Highs in the upper 70s

DETROIT – Sunday will have clouds around, but the sun will shine through and it will be warm. Any showers will fall south of the city.

Only a little rain lingers south of Motown Sunday mid-day. Showers will be scattered in these area and light enough for many outdoor activities to continue, including the Pure Michigan 400 at MIS near Jackson, Michigan. Highs will be in the upper 70s with enough sunshine. Things look good for another Tigers win at Comerica Park against the Seattle Mariners from 1pm to 4pm. The Assumption Greekfest and African World Festival should have good weather conditions, too.

Sunday evening will be partly cloudy and calm with temperatures in the low 70s.

Sunday night will be cool and comfortable with lows in the low 60s.

Monday and Tuesday will have a mix of sun and clouds, again. Temperatures will be a bit lowers, but it will be comfortable for kids headed back to summer camp or football practice. Highs will be in the middle 70s.

Showers and thunderstorms return Tuesday night, Wednesday and Thursday. Highs will be more summer-like; near 80 degrees.
