Only a hand-full of degrees by Monday morning

Lows in the low single digits

DETROIT – Sunday night will be come fair and frigid with overnight lows in the lower single digits and wind chills below zero.

Monday and Tuesday will be sunnier. Although it is early March, afternoon highs will be 25 to 30 degrees below average. Normal highs are near 40. Actual afternoon temps will be between 10 and 15 degrees both days. Tuesday will have a few scattered snow showers. 

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be partly sunny, not as cold but still have below-average readings. Daytime temps will approach freezing or more by Friday.
