DETROIT -

Saturday morning will look like the landscape of the Serengeti with the first golden rays of sunshine filtering through haze and patchy fog. Lows will be in the low 50s. It is comfortable weather for Run 4 The Rouge runners and walkers in Canton, but spectators and supporters may need a jacket and/or long-sleeve shirt for the 8 a.m. start.

Saturday afternoon will be mostly sunny and warm with highs in the upper 70s. A light to moderate wind will blow from the south at 6 to 12 mph.

Saturday evening will have terrific date-night weather for any couples going to dinner, the movies or both. Sunset will be around 7:20 p.m. Afterward, Astronomy At The Beach stargazers in Milford will have mostly decent skies overhead. Some high and mid-level clouds may obstruct the view from time to time.

More clouds encroach Saturday night, especially after midnight. The blanket of clouds will keep temps in the upper 50s by Sunday morning.

A weak cold front will move over Detroit and Southeast Michigan Sunday. Skies will be cloudy, and the boundary is so limp that any rain will be scattered and light to moderate with little threat of any thunderstorm activity. Local4 Caster Brandon Roux and other Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Walk To Cure Diabetes participants will need to bring rain gear and look for showers between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. The first drops will be felt by supporters in Ann Arbor then in Warren.

Rain will come to an end during the Lions game at Ford Field against the Bears. After the game, streets will dry out for fans driving home. Afternoon temps will be in the upper 60s.

Cooler conditions come back briefly on Monday with sunshine and highs in upper 60s. Then it becomes milder and remains bright Tuesday and Wednesday with daytime temperatures reaching the low 70s.
