DETROIT -

Mostly clear skies this morning leading to temps again falling into the low and middle 40s around most of Metro Detroit.

There will be a few neighborhoods falling into the upper 30s but that seems to be the norm these days.

We won’t be quite as warm on this Columbus Day, although the October sun will be shining bright.

Most of us will see high temps this afternoon around 63 degrees with a few neighborhoods climbing into the middle 60s while it will be slightly cooler along the big lakes on the east side.

Winds NE 5-10 mph.

Tuesday will start off calm and clear with some patchy morning fog around and lows in the mid to upper 40s.

The clouds will be rolling in throughout the day but the rain should hold off until after dinner.

The computer models are timing the arrival of the rain after 8 or 9 pm tomorrow so we should be just fine for Tigers ALCS baseball.

Highs will be near 70 degrees with only partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies and winds SSE 7-11 mph.

The rain will last Tuesday night and early Wednesday before clearing for the lunch hour.

So we could be tracking trouble on the Wednesday morning commute with wet and sloppy roads.

With skies becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon, highs will only climb into the low 60s.

Cooler weather is on the way for the rest of the week.

We have Tigers’ Playoff games coming to Detroit (Tue-Thurs) so we will be watching those midweek developments very closely. Track your neighborhood temps, radar, and an early look at your weekend forecasts on the new ClickOnDetroit app (it’s free!) in your app store.
