Local 4Casters say warm Easter weekend ahead

Highs in mid 60s for Easter Sunday

DETROIT – Friday night will feature clearing skies and colder temperatures overnight with lows in the low-to-mid 30s.

It will cool off quickly Friday evening for fans attending the Tigers game, falling into the 40s later in the game. So dress warm and go Tigers (and Red Wings!). There will be a light wind from the north-northeast.

Saturday will bring sunny skies with highs in the mid 50s, but it will be cooler (probably only upper 40s) near the big lakes. East winds will blow at around 5 to 10 mph. It will be mostly clear on Saturday night, with lows in the low 40s.

Things are shaping up for a spectacular Easter Sunday! Expect mostly sunny skies, with highs likely in the mid 60s and possibly even into the upper 60s. There will be no weather problems while attending services or travelling to family brunch and dinner. In fact, since the Red Wings game on Sunday will be broadcasted right here on Local 4 at 3 p.m., invite some friends over to watch the game, and then fire up the barbecue!

Sunday night will be partly cloudy with lows in the upper 40s.

It will be partly cloudy at the start of next week, with a small chance of showers by late afternoon on Monday. The highs will be in the upper 60s, and lows in the mid 40s, with showers likely on Monday night.

The showers should be gone by dawn Tuesday, so let's just call the day partly cloudy. Highs will be in the upper 50s and it should become mostly clear Tuesday night, with lows in the mid 30s.

Wednesday looks to be mostly sunny, with highs in the mid 50s, then mostly clear during the night, with lows in the upper 30s.

It will be partly cloudy on Thursday, with highs in the upper 50s. Some of my computer models suggest a possible shower, but I think most of the day will be dry at this point.
