Good looking Saturday night, warmer Sunday for Metro Detroit

DETROIT -

Hope everyone is having a fantastic Fourth of July weekend! Mother Nature is smiling on Detroit and southeast Michigan with wonderful weather, especially Saturday.

Weather for the Salute To America at Greenfield Village will be spectacular, too. Saturday night will be mostly clear and mild with lows in the 60s.

Sunday will be mostly sunny and warmer with highs in the low 80s. A slight increase in humidity will mean a slight chance of spotty showers late in the afternoon, but most areas of Southeast Michigan will remain dry.

Monday has a better chance of showers. It will be warm and muggy with highs in the low 80s. Tuesday will be summer-like, too, with showers and storms and muggy daytime temps in the 80s.

Lake Erie
Saturday: Sunny. Wind SW 6-11 knots, Waves 0-1 ft., Water Temp 75 degrees
Sunday: Mostly sunny. Wind SW 7-14 knots, Waves 0-2 ft., Water Temp 76 degrees

Lake Huron
Saturday: Sunny. Wind SW 6-11 knots, Waves 0-1 ft., Water Temp 63 degrees
Sunday: Mostly sunny. Wind SW 7-14 knots, Waves 1-3 ft., Water Temp 64 degrees

Lake St. Clair
Saturday: Sunny. Wind SW 6-11 knots, Waves 0-1 ft., Water Temp 72 degrees
Sunday: Mostly sunny. Wind SW 7-14 knots, Waves 0-2 ft., Water Temp 73 degrees

UP NORTH FORECAST

Northern Lower Peninsula
Saturday: Mostly sunny, warm. Highs in the middle 70s.
Sunday: 40 percent chance of showers, thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 70s.

Upper Peninsula
Saturday: 20 percent chance of showers, thunderstorms. Highs near 75.
Sunday: 60 percent chance of showers, thunderstorms. Highs in the low 70s.

"ARTHUR" FORECAST

"Arthur" will be a tropical storm and a tropical depression, at times, by Saturday night as its center passes over Nova Scotia and effecting Newfoundland. The storm will have wicked winds and heavy rain, as well, as the storm races northeast.
