Cold with snow flurries Friday

Highs in 20s

DETROIT – We'll get back to chilly temps today and the winds will not help much. Those winds NNW 10-20 m.p.h. will also bring a few areas of light lake effect snow both this morning and this afternoon.

Highs this morning are in the low and mid 20s early and dropping through the afternoon. We should stabilize in the upper teens with occasional wind chills below zero. So, bundle up!

Saturday will be a bit warmer in the mid 20s with increasing clouds, but dry. Warmer winds SSW 5-15 m.p.h. will try to warm us to near 30 degrees but fresh snowpack will keep our temps from warming too much.

Super Bowl Sunday will be snowy with an inch of snow for a good portion of the Detroit Metro Area. Some of you living along or south of I-94 will see a bit more with two or three inches possible to end the weekend. Computer models are still split on how much of this storm coming out of the desert southwest will hit us. A bulk of the moisture Sunday will stay south of us with just a glancing blow of snow here.
