Forecast: Fair, cool after Sunday sunset

Lows near 30, with higher temps on Monday

DETROIT – Sunday evening will be chilly with the mercury falling through the 40s.

Sunday night will have fair skies and overnight lows near freezing.

Detroit baseball's opening day is on Monday. The Detroit Tigers take one the Kansas City Royals at Comerica Park at 1 p.m. Tailgaters will experience chilly conditions in the morning with temps rising from the 30s into the 40s. It will be near 50 degrees by the first pitch. Afternoon highs will be in the middle 50s by the end of the ballgame. Skies will be mostly to partly sunny with a southwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Tuesday will be partly sunny with highs in the low 50s. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be chillier and slipperier with showers and temps in the 40s.
