Forecast: Cool, clear night in metro Detroit

DETROIT – After a few hit and miss showers (with a few lightning strikes), we'll dry out for the rest of the evening.

Humidity levels have been low and will stay low for the entire forecast. Overnight lows will be unseasonably cool with numbers ending up in the mid-to-upper 50s. Skies will be mostly clear throughout the night.

Tuesday forecast:

On Tuesday, we'll have a very similar setup, where we begin with a lot of sunshine and see a few widely scattered showers in the afternoon. We're not expecting anything strong or severe. In fact, there probably won't be much of any thunder. Highs will be slightly cooler, around 80 degrees.

Temperatures continue to slide through the end of the week and into the weekend -- mid-to-upper 70s through Sunday -- and we'll keep humidity low too.

I don't see any major weather-makers headed our way through next week, although the late-week forecast looks fuzzy -- a lot of conflicting scenarios from the computer models. So right now, other than a brief shower on Friday, the forecast remains dry from Tuesday night through early next week.
