Forecast for Saturday, October 12, 2013 ...

DETROIT -

Some of us will start the day with locally dense fog, but that should burn off by 10 a.m., leaving us with mostly sunny skies for a while.

Clouds will tend to increase by mid-to-late afternoon, but that shouldn’t diminish what’s shaping up to be a spectacular fall Saturday, with highs in the low (possibly mid) 70s.

Your evening plans look dry, then there’s the chance for a light shower or two after midnight, with lows in the low to mid 50s.

Some of us might not even get any rain tonight, but any showers should be gone by dawn Sunday, with skies eventually becoming mostly sunny.  Highs in the mid to upper 60s.

Columbus Day looks nice if you have the day off, with highs in the mid-60s.  Then we see some changes in our weather pattern, with a storm system bringing us rain chances starting Tuesday night, and much cooler temperatures:  highs next Thursday and Friday will only be in the 50s!
