DTE Energy: 80,000 customers without power

DETROIT -

DTE Energy is reporting 80,000 customers without power after storms moved through southeast Michigan.

The energy company says the majority of outages are in northern Oakland County.

Breakdown by county:

Lapeer County -- 3,200
Wayne County -- 2,000
Washtenaw County -- 3,100
Oakland County -- 80,000

There is a number of wires down. DTE has asked for assistance from other power companies to help with repairs.
