Thursday stays cool, mostly sunny

Temps in the low and mid 50s,

A cool start to your Thursday around SE Michigan with temps in the low and mid 50s, with some areas dipping into the 40s.

Clear skies early and a dip in the Jetstream are the leading causes to the morning cool down.

We will see plenty of sunshine today helping us warm back into the upper 70s. Fair weather clouds will form in the afternoon but no rain today as winds will blow from the NNE 7-11 mph.

Dry and very comfortable weather continues Friday with highs closer to 80 degrees.

Clear skies early means more morning lows in the 50s tomorrow, and a few clouds will form in the afternoon warmth.

A few storms are on the way late Friday and/or early Saturday but most of the activity will be north of Metro Detroit.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed SE Lower Michigan in a slight risk for severe storms on Saturday.

It will not be a weekend washout, but we'll have scattered storms and some of them may be strong to severe. Get your complete 7 Day forecast on clickondetroit.com and on the Weather links:
