Cool start, but temps should climb to 70° Wednesday

As low as 30° in the morning

DETROIT – A cool start to your Wednesday with lots of 40s out there and lots of dew on the windshields. Some areas in our western and northern counties may dip into the 30s for a brief time this morning as the sun rises around 7:15 a.m.

The cool pool of air will be gently replaced by a nice mild warm up. Highs should hit the upper 60s to near 70 degrees this afternoon with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.

Winds will be light WSW 5-10 m.p.h.

A cooler wind from the NE Thursday will bring slightly cooler conditions all day. We'll start with a few clouds and cool conditions in the 40s early tomorrow, followed by mid 60s for high temps into the afternoon under partly sunny skies. Cooler winds NE 5-10 mph will make east siders feel cooler than those inland.

We'll flirt with 70 degrees again Friday afternoon with increasing sunshine and warmer winds. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with a gentle breeze SE 5-10 m.p.h.

Watch radar on Saturday as a few showers will be in the state, but most of it west and north of Metro Detroit. So, we're keeping the daytime hours dry Saturday with a chance for rain Saturday night.

Showers will linger into Sunday morning and we could see a few light showers on and off into the afternoon. For now, Saturday looks like the better of the two weekend days as highs will get into the mid and upper 70s.
