Cool, possible drizzle Friday morning

Highs in the upper 50s

DETROIT – With clouds and a few areas of drizzle, morning temps are mainly in the mid 40s and the roads are a bit wet from light rain overnight.

Most of the middle part of your Friday will be dry and highs will creep into the mid and upper 50s through the afternoon. Spotty rain showers will return through the later afternoon again, but won't drench everyone so don't cancel your Friday evening plans.

This slow moving storm responsible for the doom and gloom all week is slowly pulling east with the key word being ‘slowly.'

We will have mild temperatures and lingering light rain showers to start your weekend. So, Saturday morning rain showers will be in the area and at least through the lunch hour.

Hopefully, but not definitely, we will see the clouds thin through the late afternoon with highs Saturday near or just below 60° with breezy conditions. Tomorrow winds WSW 15-25 mph are likely.

Our computer model is showing a few random showers mainly north of Detroit Saturday afternoon bringing scattered showers to the Thumb region.

We are looking at improving weather late Saturday and especially on Sunday.

Highs Sunday will again be near 60 degrees with a bit more sunshine. A chunk of cooler air is sliding down behind this big system keeping us in the 50s most of the day Sunday.
