Cooler temperatures are expected on Labor Day in Metro Detroit.

A cold front has now pushed through and you can feel the difference.

We had some powerful storms scattered about the area overnight, but all of the stormy weather is gone with the cold front moving east. So, expect comfortable mid 70s today with a mix of sun and clouds. It will be breezy at times with winds NW 10-20 mph.

As we head back to school, you’ll need a sweatshirt for the kids at the bus stop early Tuesday. Morning lows will range from the upper 40s to low 50s but afternoon highs will again hit the mid 70s making for a pretty fall like first day of school.

Wednesday will be the warmest day of the work and school week with highs near 80 degrees and plenty of sunshine. There’s a chance for a few light showers overnight into early Thursday. But, that’s it! We may see a few showers and storms late Saturday too.
