DETROIT – Friday will feature a ton of sun during the morning, and then skies become partly cloudy during the afternoon. There's the chance for a widely scattered shower or thunderstorm this afternoon, but the key words are "widely scattered:" most of us probably won't see one.

However, the risk is not zero, so keep your Local4Casters weather app radar handy if you'll be out and about this afternoon, because a few of us might get a quick downpour. It's also going to be a warm and breezy day, with highs in the mid to upper 80s (27° Celsius for you Canadians who follow my forecasts), and a west wind at 15 to 20 mph by afternoon.
