DETROIT -

We started with plenty of sunshine but high clouds will be rolling in this Tuesday afternoon.

These clouds are blowing off the tops of rain clouds to the west. But that rain will dodge us keeping us mild and very comfortable with highs in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees if those clouds are thin enough.

Wednesday will be a bit warmer and slightly more humid ahead of a cold front on the move for Wednesday night. So, daytime highs will hit 80 degrees or warmer with a few scattered showers.

Computer models are calling for a spotty shower in the late morning but most of us won’t see any rain until late afternoon or evening. Expect a mostly dry start to the day with a few storms popping by late afternoon and most of the rain will hold off until after dinner.

We may see a few showers early Thursday but the rest of the day is dry with highs reaching near 80 degrees again under partly cloudy skies. More rain on the way for Friday so stay tuned.
