A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Genesee, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne Counties from now until noon on Wednesday.

A Winter Storm Warning will be in effect for Lapeer, Sanilac and St. Clair Counties from 6pm, Tuesday, to 12 noon, Wednesday.

Here's the storm's timeline:

Between now and 12 noon, today - Chilly rain inches across the Michigan-Ohio border into Lenawee and Monroe Counties.

12 noon to 3pm, today - Chilly rain moves across the rest of Southeast Michigan, including Detroit.
