SMART Bus delays expected because of weather

DETROIT -

Despite operating their entire normal fleet Friday, SMART says some of its busses will be delayed because of the weather and roads conditions.

SMART Connector customers with a scheduled trip should verify their trip by calling Customer Service at (866) 962-5515.

SMART says customers should dress appropriately for the weather. Be sure to stand at a safe place near the bus stop, but away from the street until the bus has come to a complete stop.

SMART is asking everyone – customers and other cars on the road – to be patient with our drivers as they are doing their best to make sure everyone arrives at their destination safely.

SMART is southeast Michigan’s only regional transit system, serving Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties.

Recognized nationally as an innovator in community-based service for its unique partnerships with 75 communities, SMART serves more than 11 million riders annually.
