DETROIT -

Thursday is the first full 24 hours of spring. Detroit continues to be cold, in fact, frigid. Thursday morning lows will be in the teens with wind chills in the single digits. Afternoon highs will be a bit higher than yesterday, in the low 30s. On and off snow showers will provide the "5 minute weather" for which Southeast Michigan is famous.

Thursday night lows will be in the low 20s with mostly clear skies. Michigan and Michigan State fans traveling to the NCAA Tournament games in Auburn Hills will need to make sure their car heaters are working and remember to wear their favorite school hats, scarves, gloves and coats.

Friday will be sunnier and not as cold. Highs will be closer to 40 degrees.

Dry weather continues this weekend with daytime temps near 40 or more.  Detroit's next chance of snow is early next week.
