First water, now wind is of grave concern for the Motor City area. A Wind Advisory is in effect Friday from 10am to 10pm.

The wind will force motorists to keep both hands on the steering wheel. Wind speeds will be 20 to 35 mph with gusts over 45 mph at times.

Wind damage and more power outages are possible. Anyone using a generator must remember to keep those machines outdoors to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.

Wet conditions continue for Detroit and Southeast Michigan, too. A Flood Warning is in effect for Wayne County along the Lower Rouge River, especially in Dearborn and Inkster. A second Flood Warning is in effect for Macomb County near the Clinton River, especially in Sterling Heights and Clinton Township.

Downpours may create tricky road conditions for drivers going to work and school with big puddles on the roads and slick conditions.

Friday afternoon becomes chilly with temps falling from the 50s into the middle and low 40s. Jackets and windbreakers will be needed during the day.

Friday night will become colder with lows in the low 30s. Believe it or not, areas north of Detroit may see a few snowflakes floating through the air. Skies will clear out overnight.

The weekend will be sunnier, but temps will be colder than average. Saturday will be the colder day of the two. Afternoon temps will be near 45 degrees despite mostly sunny skies. The sun will shine Sunday, and it will not be as cold. Highs will be in the low to middle 50s.
