Monday morning marks a return to cold Winter weather for Detroit and Southeast Michigan.  Below-freezing temps in the low 20s will be present in the morning.  There may be some slippery spots from Sunday's rain and wet snow.  Monday afternoon will be partly to mostly sunny and remain cold with highs in the upper 20s with a stiff westerly wind 6 to 12 mph.

Monday night will be cold but with no Arctic blast.  Lows will be in the upper teens, which is average.

Tuesday will be a bright, lovely January day with highs near 30.  Wednesday may have a few snow showers with mostly cloudy skies, but they appear minor for now.  Thursday and Friday will be cold with highs in the low 30s and upper 20s and lows near 20.

Friday night's NAIAS Charity Preview will be dry, but attendees will need to keep their toes and fingers warm while walking the red carpet.
