Chilly night, warmer Monday

Another chilly night with lows dropping to 15 degrees in Detroit and even cooler conditions in the suburbs to start your President's Day.

Clouds will overspread the area through the day and the south winds will increase 10-20 mph bringing high temps near 40 degrees. Rain will begin falling around or just after dinner starting in the south moving north throughout Monday Night and early Tuesday.

Don't expect warm conditions to stick around because early rain will change to snow Tuesday afternoon with temps falling into the low 30s and upper 20s late in the day. We could see some minor accumulations through the afternoon Tuesday and a few lingering light snow showers are possible early Wednesday.

Winds will be strong on Tuesday and Wednesday with winter like temperatures for the rest of the week.
