DETROIT -

Wednesday morning will feel more like December than April with clear skies. Lows will be in the middle and low 20s with wind chills in the teens. Sunny skies will prevail with highs near 45.

Wednesday night will be fair and cold with lows in the 20s.

The bigger break from Motown's cold air will be on Thursday with highs in the low and middle 50s with mostly sunny skies. A weak cold front will bring some clouds Thursday night, but lows will be in the low 30s.

Sunshine returns for the Tigers' Home Opener at Comerica Park. Morning tailgaters will have to contend with temps in the 30s. The first pitch is at 1:08pm. Fans at the game will have temps in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees. Sunglasses and Tigers jackets and hats will be needed.

Saturday and Sunday will have temps in the 50s, again. Rain is possible Saturday evening and Sunday, but there is a good chance both baseball games will proceed fully.
