COMMUTER ALERT: Patchy ice on metro Detroit roads

DETROIT -

Several southeast Michigan counties are under a "patchy icy" warning after overnight rain and cold temps. There's also light falling snow in some areas.

Drivers are urged to use caution while driving and allow come extra time for their morning commute.

List of traffic trouble spots:

  • 9:16 AM - Traffic incident on Northbound I-275 after Ford involving 2 vehicles affecting the Left Shoulder and Right Shoulder.
  • 9:30 AM - Traffic incident on Westbound M-14 at Gotfredson Rd involving 2 vehicles affecting the Left Shoulder.
  • 9:48 AM - Traffic incident on Eastbound I-96 at Wixom involving 2 vehicles affecting the Left Lane.
  • 10:05 AM - Traffic incident on Westbound I-94 Entrance Ramp from US-12 involving 1 vehicle affecting the Ramp.
  • 9:46 AM - Traffic incident on Eastbound I-696 after I-275 involving 2 vehicles affecting the Left Shoulder.
