DETROIT -

Tuesday is another day of wintry change for Detroit and Southeast Michigan.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for Detroit and all of Southeast Michigan until 7pm ET.  Wind speeds will be between 20 and 30 mph with wind gusts 45 mph or greater.  Detroiters should grab their trash cans and recycle bins as soon as they are emptied to keep them from flying down the street.  Some street lights may go out and tree branches or wires may fall.  Remember to report any down power lines to the authorities and stay away from them.

Snow showers are arriving for the lunchtime and afternoon hours to make roads and sidewalks slippery.  Areas may pick up a trace to 2 inches of fresh snow before the day is done.

Temps will fall to the middle 20s and stay there the rest of the day before plummeting to the teens tonight.

Tuesday night will be very cold and blustery with lows in the teens and wind chills near zero.

Wednesday will be cold and blustery with highs in the low and middle 20s and wind chills in the single numbers.  Skies will be partly sunny.

Thursday will be mostly sunny, less windy but still very cold.

Highs will be near 25.

Thursday night and Friday may have another round of snow.
