Local 4's popular Super Singer competition returns, shining a light on five of metro Detroit's best vocalists. During The Ford Fireworks, these five semi-finalists will be narrowed down to two finalists by a panel of celebrity judges. The top two will then sing for the public's vote. Viewers can vote online at ClickOnDetroit.com during the show to choose the final winner.

Celebrity judges include Chris D'Elia, star of NBC's hottest new comedy Undateable, and Jeff Gutt, talented rocker and X Factor runner-up.

One lucky viewer who votes for his or her favorite Super Singer will win $500, courtesy of Detroit Institute of Music Education (DIME) and The Henry Ford's Women Who Rock exhibit. The Super Singer winner receives a $2,000 cash prize and will open for The Beach Boys at Freedom Hill Amphitheatre, August 10, 2014.

Last year's Super Singer winner, Tiara Hall, will sing both the American and Canadian national anthems as helicopters fly by with each country's flag on display in the night sky.
