The Pistons kept pace in the first quarter but couldn't keep up as the Clippers went 11-for-16 from the field in the second and rattled off a 21-3 run to take control. Griffin put up 21 points in the first half as Los Angeles shot 65.7 percent and took a 64-53 lead into the break.

Detroit made a brief charge early in the third to pull within 67-61, but Redick's second four-point play of the day stretched the lead back to double digits and Los Angeles pushed the margin to 94-78 entering the fourth quarter. The Clippers went scoreless for more than 4 1/2 minutes in the final stanza, but the Pistons could only get within nine.
