South Bend -

An early 4th quarter touchdown run by Cam McDaniel was the difference as Notre Dame was able to defeat Michigan State 17-13.

Connor Cook was making his first road start but was unable to get it done.  He left the game for the last drive.  Andrew Maxwell took over but was unable to bring his team back.

Tommy Rees goes 14-34 for 142 yards and a touchdown.

Michigan State falls to 3-1 and has a bye week next week.

Notre Dame moves to 3-1 with Oklahoma up next.
