ANN ARBOR, Mich. -

Michigan, led by Nik Stauskus and his 21 points, defeated the Minnesota Golden Gophers 66-56 on Saturday to earn at least a share of the Big Ten regular season title.

Michigan outplayed Minnesota in the first half and fought off a furious second-half charge to come away with its 21st win of the season.  The win, combined with Michigan State's loss at home to Illinois, guaranteed Michigan a share of the Big Ten title with only two games to play. This title marks Michigan's second in the past three seasons.

Michigan will have a chance to win the conference championship outright with a win in Champaign, Illinois on Tuesday against an Illini team that has won three in a row.
