Jimmy Howard is Detroit's top goalie, who has guided the Red Wings to four straight playoff berths.

  • Was named an NHL All-Star during the 2011-12 season.
  • In 2009-10, was a runner up for the NHL's Calder Trophy, which is awarded annually to the NHL's rookie of the year.
  • Playing for the University of Maine in 2003-04, he set an NCAA record for the lowest goals-against average (1.19) and highest save percentage (.954) in a season.
