Grand Rapids Griffins to play preseason game in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH, Mich. -

The American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins and Lake Erie Monsters will face off in a preseason game at 7 p.m. Sept. 28 at Compuware Arena in Plymouth.

The arena is accustomed to hosting Saturday night games for the Ontario Hockey League's Plymouth Whalers. This Saturday night game will feature the Detroit Red Wings' AHL affiliate and defending Calder Cup champions the Griffins.

Tickets are $10 and available at the arena box office or by calling 734-453-8400.

The Griffins and Monsters will face off in another preseason game the next day -- Sept. 29 -- in Windsor at the WFCU Centre, which is home to the OHL's Windsor Spitfires.
