The Detroit Red Wings have announced that 2014 playoff tickets are now on sale to the general public.

The Red Wings currently sit in the first Wild Card position in the Eastern Conference standings with 86 points (36-26-14) and six games remaining on the regular season schedule.

Red Wings fans are able to purchase tickets for each of the team’s first two potential opening-round home contests against a to-be-determined opponent.

The Red Wings are seeking a playoff berth for the 23rd straight year (1991-present), which is the longest active playoff streak in all of North American major professional sports.

Red Wings playoff tickets can be purchased at the Joe Louis Arena Box Office (313-471-7575), all Ticketmaster outlets (800-745-3000) and online at DetroitRedWings.com.
