Lions beat Red Skins 27 to 20

DETROIT -

After 74 years of frustration and futility the Detroit Lions have won a road game against the Washington Redskins.

The Lions beat the Redskins 27-20.

Sunday afternoon, Matthew Stafford threw for 385 yards and two touchdowns, including the game winner to Calvin Johnson with 3:56 left in the 4th quarter.

The Lions beat the Washington Redskins on the road for the first time since 1939, a 21-game streak, the second longest in NFL history.
