Detroit Red Wings forward Todd Bertuzzi visited an elementary school Thursday in Beverly Hills.
Greenfield Elementary was holding an assembly to introduce hockey to children.
"We're obviously very fortunate to do what we do, and to play in such a wonderful city and organization, it's little things like this that we can give back," said Bertuzzi. "Whether it's going to hospitals or talking to kids I think we have a lot of information we can offer."
The 37-year-old participated in floor hockey competitions with students and faculty.
Bertuzzi has 12 goals and 18 assists in 57 games with Detroit this season. He signed a two-year, $4 million contract with the Red Wings on Feb. 23.
The Red Wings host the Minnesota Wild on Friday.
