Red Wings, Predators meet for Game 4
Updated On: Apr 17 2012 05:27:34 PM EDT
The Detroit Red Wings have averaged 32 shots per game in their opening round series with the Nashville Predators.
The Red Wings put up 43 shots on Sunday and Predators goalie Pekka Rinne turned away 41 of them on route to a 3-2 win at Joe Louis Arena.
The shots statistic is absolutely a misleading one in this series. Nashville is getting beat in many statistics but still have the 2-1 series lead.
The Red Wings will look to keep pressure on Rinne as Game 4 gets underway Tuesday night in Detroit. They must figure out a way to break through the Rinne-wall.
Predators defenseman Hal Gill will remain out of the lineup in Game 4. He has missed the first three playoff games with a lower body injury.
Detroit has sustained their fair share of injuries this season. They are without forward Darren Helm who injured his arm in Game 1.
Puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
