The Toronto Maple Leafs have placed veteran forward Philippe Dupuis on injured reserve with an undisclosed upper-body injury.

It isn't clear when Dupuis suffered the injury. The 26-year-old fourth-liner has zero points and a minus-two rating in 30 games this season.

Toronto recalled forward Darryl Boyce from its American Hockey League affiliate to take Dupuis' spot on the active roster.

Boyce, 27, had 10 points in 22 games with the Marlies. He appeared in 46 games with Toronto last season, registering five goals and eight assists.
