DETROIT -

The Michigan Humane Society's 2013 Mega March for Animals was Sunday.

The 2-mile walk started from Hart Plaza at 10 a.m. and went along parts of the RiverWalk.

Pet lovers walked with their four-legged friends to help raise critical funds for the Michigan Humane Society.

Everyone was welcome to walk, with or without a pet. Walkers who raises $156 or more received an official 2013 Mega March T-shirt at the walk.

The Michigan Humane Society says $156 is the amount needed to change the life of just one animal from homeless to loved.
