Farmington Public Safety officers were called to the 23000 block of Frederick St (Warner Farms Subdivision-Farmington Rd south of Grand River) to investigate a report of a large reptile roaming the area. Officers located a mature female iguana resting on the front lawn of a residence.

The iguana appeared to be healthy. Officers canvassed the area to attempt to locate an owner without success. The iguana was transported to Oakland County Animal Control in Auburn Hills.

Anyone with information about the owner of this animal is asked to call the Farmington Public Safety Department at 248-474-4700.
