Yoga session at Ford Field in Detroit aims to set world record

Local 4's Priya Mann spends the morning at Ford Field where a world record attempt is taking place.

DETROIT -

Local groups in Detroit on Saturday will try to set a world record for the largest indoor yoga session.

Come Play Detroit, the Detroit Lions, the Yoga Shelter, the Yoga by Design Foundation and Lulumon Athletica are hosting the event at Ford Field. Proceeds from the event will also go toward providing yoga classes to underprivileged children.

Organizers hope to set a world record with at least 3,000 people.

Yoga lovers of all ages and skill are invited to participate.

Registration for the event begins at 8: 30 a.m.

The session will begin on the field at 9:45 a.m

Bus tours of downtownDetroit, including Eastern Market, the Riverfront, Belle Isle and more, will be provided by D:Hive following the yoga session.
