NOVI, Mich. -

Novi police have released the picture of a woman who tried to rob a credit union on Tuesday.

Police said the woman went into Credit Union Family Service Center on West 10 Mile Road and handed the teller a note demanding money. But, police said, the woman took off before she got any money.

No gun was ever implied or seen.

The woman is described by police as white, of an unknown age, 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall, between 115 and 130 pounds. Most of her face was covered by a black and white scarf. She was also wearing a black and white plaid, waist-length coat with a hood and black-brimmed baseball cap.

Anyone with information on the woman in the picture is asked to call Novi police at 248-348-7100.
