Woman killed in western Michigan while pushing van

LOWELL TOWNSHIP, Mich. -

Police say a drunk driver struck and killed a woman who was pushing her van after it ran out of gas in western Michigan.

The victim is Tonya Beha of Lake Odessa. Police tell The Grand Rapids Press,http://bit.ly/NVn15J, that she and another woman were pushing a Honda van Saturday night on a bridge over Interstate 96 in Lowell Township.

There were seven people in the van, including children. when the vehicle was struck by a pickup truck.

Jay Hobbs of Lowell was captured in nearby woods in Kent County. He's charged with an alcohol-related death and leaving the scene of a crash.
