Westland seek suspected serial robber

Subject of multiple Westland robberies.

WESTLAND, Mich. -

The Westland Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in finding a serial robber that has been hitting local businesses.

At 10:30 p.m. Jan. 12 he robbed the 7-Eleven 1826 S. Merriman Road. At 2:40 p.m. Jan. 15, he robbed the Family Dollar at 31296 Michigan Ave.

More recently on Jan. 16, 2014 at 7 p.m. he robbed the Dollar General at 8208 N. Merriman Road.

In two of the robberies the subject was seen fleeing in a black Jeep Wrangler with a black soft top.

He is described as a white male in his 20s or 30s, standing 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall with a medium build and scruffy facial hair.
