Vigil held for murdered party store owner

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – One week ago Friday armed men stormed a party store in Clinton Township and killed the owner.

Basil Sulaka was beloved in the community, so Friday night family and friends gathered to remember him and honor his life.

For many in Clinton township it's hard to believe Basil Sulaka is gone.

"(I) can't believe it whatsoever. It's so disgusting that people don't value life," said customer Cindy Puddock.

One week after the fatal tragedy the memorial shrine is still growing. The beloved store owner's truck remains parked in the same spot.

Police are still on the case, searching for the three masked gunman who entered the Moonlite party store on Harper, with guns blazing, ransacking and robing the place and killing Sulaka.

Sulaka and his wife owned the store, which was a staple in the community, Now, they've coming together to mourn the tragic loss.
