TROY, Mich. -

As Troy police continue their investigation into the shooting death of a gas station clerk, they’re asking for two specific people to come forward.

In a statement Monday, police said they are looking for individuals who made a prepaid gas purchase and a beverage purchase on Feb. 8 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the station, which is at the corner of South Boulevard and Rochester Road.

The clerk, 63-year-old Athir Putres, was found shot in the head that same afternoon.

Police have already released a sketch of a man they are calling a “suspect” in the slaying.
