AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – The Auburn Hills Police Department wants the public's help in finding suspect(s) responsible for several home invasions.
Police responded to five home invasions from Jan. 31-Feb. 19, 2014 in neighborhoods near Walton Boulevard and Dexter Road.
All of the incidents happened within a half mile of each other at the following locations:
- 1/31/14, 2800 block of Pontiac Court
- 2/7/14 – 2/13/14, 2100 block of Walnut Road
- 2/11/14, 2100 block of Walnut Road
- 2/11/14, 2900 block of Edna Jane Road
- 2/19/14, 2900 block of James Road
These home invasions appear to have taken place during daylight from Monday to Friday. None of the residents were home during the incidents.
The suspect(s) are getting inside homes through either unlocked doors or prying open windows. Included in the items reportedly stolen are guns, jewelry, cash and video games.
On Feb. 19, a nearby resident reported a possible suspect close to the home on James Road. The suspect left the area on foot, so there is no vehicle information.
The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-30s, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall, thin build with brown hair and a full beard and mustache. He was seen wearing a beige or dark brown coat with a zipper and dark blue jeans.
